A day at the house

Today we stayed put for the most part. Bill did take Cassidy and Jordan to Sam's while Irelynn and mommy caught a short nap. The girls had fun taking pictures of their new dolls. Irelynn enjoyed eating her toast.

The Zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo in the afternoon with Shelley and Dee. We didn't get there until 1 ish and stayed until 5 pm. The kids had fun but were exhausted.

Rustic Oaks park

On Dec. 29th I took the girls to Rustic Oaks park to meet up with Dee and her family. The kids had a great time. Irelynn was in the swing for the first time and loved it. The weather was beautiful.

Bayou Wildlife Park

On Dec. 26th we took Grammy and Papa to see the animals at the Bayou wildlife park. We have been several times but enjoy going back. Grammy and Papa enjoyed feeding the animals. Cassidy and Jordan enjoy throwing the food but aren't crazy about letting the animals eat out of the bucket.

Christmas Day

After opening presents it was hard holding the girls off from using their roller skates. We played inside and then took them outside for a little bit. It will be awhile before they are skating on their own but they sure had fun trying.

Christmas Night we headed out to see the lights at Moody Gardens but the closer we got the heavier the fog was. Bill decided to give the lights at Paul Hopkins a shot and we were in luck. I know we have gone to see the lights for the past three years.

Cousins

Grammy and Papa went to visit Alex and Carleigh in Tennesse earlier in December. Cassidy and Jordan have not met Cousin Alex but they are missing cousin Carleigh.

Christmas Morning

Okay Christmas morning came way to early. Santa put the stockings in the girls bedroom and at 5:50am Cassidy came out to tell me Santa had come. She then ran to tell Jordan and refused to go back to sleep. Do you blame her. Anyways my Mom and I let them open stockings in their room until daddy came home from the night shift. They were excited to say the least. They got everything they asked for from Santa and then some. I keep saying my girls are not spoiled but I am starting to not belive myself.

Polar Express

On Thursday we took the girls to the Polar Express train ride out in Palestine. It was a long ride there but worth the trip. We watched the steam engine come in, loaded on, were served hot chocolate along with the reading of the Polar Express, and we went to the "North Pole". On the trip back to the station the kids played follow the leader, sang Christmas songs and Santa passed out bells to all the kids. We made it home about 11:30 pm that night.
