Hellen's garden

On Tuesday Oct. 28th the girls had pictures done at school in coordinating outfits. When I picked them up I had Irelynn in a coordinating outfit as well. I took them to Hellen's garden to take some fall pictures. The girls had a great time.

Halloween Party

On Oct. 26th we had our third annual Halloween party for our mom's group. The kids seemed to have a blast. They played games and trick or treated. We had a total of 26 families show up.

First Soccer Game

The girls had their first soccer game on Sat. Oct. 25th. They had only one practice before hurricane Ike so things were kind of confusing to the little soccer players. The coach placed Cassidy, Jordan and Larissa all in the defender position and for the first ten minutes they just stood there. I kept yelling for them to kick the ball. Then someone knocked Jordan down and she started to cry. She ran over to Cassidy and just started hugging her in the middle of the game. Hard to tell but I tried to get a picture of it. Jordan then sat out 2 quarters before she went back in to finish the 4th quarter. All and all they did pretty good. Hopefully things will go better this Saturday.

First attempt at carrots and a Sipee

Irelynn wasn't liking the cereal much so I moved onto carrots on Oct. 23. Not much better than the cereal. After the carrots I gave her a sipee of water. She seemed to grasp the idea pretty quickly so I thought but the next day she didn't even put it to her mouth. She will get the hang of it.

Irelynn in her Halloween Pajamas.

Happy Halloween!!!

Firetruck

After the pumpking patch the girls helped daddy paint the firetruck. Bill's newest addition to the trick or treat stations for our Halloween Party.

Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday Oct. 21st we took the girls to the CLUMC pumpkin patch after school. We got several cute shots but I have to say that picking out a pumpkin didn't go so well. It was a bad season for pumpkins. The majority of them were rotton.

Not scared of monsters

at least she isn't yet. This guy was actually someone that works with Bill. He was at yogi camp with his family. He was hidden behind some black paper and if you wanted candy you had to go up to him. Cassidy and Jordan wanted nothing to do with him.

Irelynn's checkup and first experience with cereal

On Oct. 15th Irelynn had her 4 month checkup. She weighed 16lbs 2.5 oz and was 25 1/4 inches long. She was in the 90th percentile for weight and the 75th-90th percentile for length. We were given the go ahead to start solids. I decided to wait until we got back from camping. So tonight I mixed the cereal and gave it a shot while Cassidy and Jordan watched. Her fist expression was like what the heck did you just put in my mouth. That is on the video camera. All and all she did okay but not overly interested.

Yogi Camp

We just got back from a great time camping at Yogi Camp in Waller, TX. We stayed in a cabin Friday and Saturday night. Normally we tent camp but I believe Irelynn is a little young for that. Shelley Bishop and her family camped as well and Heather Zgaljardic and her family came up on Saturday to hang out.

Everything was themed around Halloween. First thing we did was take a hay ride to the majic pumpkin patch. We got to a spot where we stopped and each kid was given a majic pumpkin seed to plant. Later we trick or treated to a few a camp sites but were told that Sat. was the big night for that. The girls also colored their own Yogi trick or treat bags.

Sat. morning Bill took Cassidy and Jordan to the flagpole to meet yogi and Cindy. We then got back on the hayride and headed to the majic pumpkin patch. When we reached the spot the kids got off and picked out their pumpkin. Back we went to camp where they painted their pumpkins. Sat afternoon they all put on their costumes and joined a parade and judging contest. Cassidy got honorable mention and Jordan got third place in the under 5 category. We then trick or treated around the campgrounds and then headed back to the cabins to hang our around the fire.
