The Zoo

Today I took my girls and Carrie Scheeler to the zoo. I had 4 little girls all in car seats in the back of my van. We met Alia, Kylee and Linden there. Although it was still hot outside the girls all seemed to have a great time. We got to the zoo at 10:15 and didn't leave until 2:30 or so.

Before we made it to 288 the girls were all crashed.

Owen's 4th Birthday

On Sat. Sept 27th the girls went to Owen's birthday party at Fun Max Jump-in. My camera was at home so I didn't get pictures of the girls jumping but I did get a picture from Owen's mom of all the kids around the birthday chair.

Square Dancing and Duck feeding

Cassidy and Jordan had a blast watching papa and grammy square dance. They love Grammy's pink fluffy skirt.

Everytime we go to the park the girls want to feed the ducks.

The horses

Pictures of the girls bathing the horse and Jordan riding.

Trip to Grammy and Papa's House

On Sunday evening Bill received a call from his boss that he needed to be back to work on Tuesday, Sept 16th. We received confirmation that our house did not have power so we made the decision to rent a car for me and the girls to head to Grammy and Papa's and Daddy would head home in the van with the dogs. It was an intense 5 1/2 hr drive to my mom's. We had to stop numerous times and Irelynn screamed the whole way.

While in Florida we did several things. We went to the park and the girls played in a splash pad and fed the ducks. We went shopping at the mall where the girls rode the carosel. This is a ritual that has to be done so Jordan can ride her pig. The pigs name is Pork Chop. We visited some of my friends and played at chickfila. Cassidy and Jordan helped grammy bathe one of the horses and then Jordan got a ride on Turnie. This was the horse that I use to ride and show. Saturday evening they got to go see Grammy and Papa square dance. The girls had a blast but were ready to go home and see daddy.

The evening before we left to come home, Irelynn rolled over several times from her stomach to her back and she rolled over twice from her back to her stomach. Cassidy and Jordan were almost 6 months when they first rolled over and Irelynn is only 3 1/2 months.

Monday Sept. 22 I spent most of my 7th year anniversary in the car riding home from Florida to Texas. My stepdad drove me half way where we met up with Bill and then we finished the rest of trip with daddy. We did stop and have a nice family dinner at Gringos.

Park and Natural Science Museum

On Sun. Sept 14th we spent the morning at a very neat park and then we went to the Natural Science Museum. This museum was no where near as nice as ours here in Houson but it was still neat. It had a little aquarium, a preschool play area, lots of fossils and a dinasour exibit. The dinasours were neat but the girls were afraid of them and wouldn't go in to the room. Bill went through and then I did. I can't blame Cassidy and Jordan. The were mechanical and the noises were loud.

Chuck E Cheese and the Residence Inn

Okay so now we are checked out of our yucky hotel and it is only 11 am. The Residence Inn doesn't have check-in until 4pm. We decided to go to Chuck E Cheese. Cassidy and Jordan had a blast while Irelynn slept the majority of the time. After 2 1/2 hours of Chuck E Cheese we decided to drive to the hotel to see if we could check in early. We were in luck. The room was great. It had a living room, full kitchen, full bathroom and a bedroom downstairs and upstairs was a loft with a full bathroom. The girls had a blast playing hide and seek and running up and down the stairs.

Hurrican Ike was on its way!

On Sept. 11th around 7 am, Bill received evacuation orders from his work. He woke me up and we spent the next 2 1/2 hrs packing for a trip that we had no idea where we were going. We just started driving and heading in the direction of my mom's house. Originally we thought we would be far enough away from the storm if we stayed in Lafiette, LA. To no suprise there were no hotels in a 100 mile radius of Lafiette. So we looked at the map and decided to head to Jackson, Mississippi. We found a hotel that would take our dogs and decided to stay there. It was around 10 pm when we finally got to the hotel. The hotel was one room with two double beds. It wasn't too nice. So the next day we decided to find a better place and moved to the Residence Inn.

Soccer Practice

The girls had their first soccer practice today and can I say that I am a very proud mommy. They did excellent. No they are not the best soccer players but they went out there and gave it their all. No tears, no begging mommy to go with them. They listened well and had a great time. Oh yeah my girls are the only ones who wear cleats with skirts.

Swimming at Barbara's

Today we were invited by Dee to go swimming over at Barbara's house. Cassidy and Jordan had a great time playing with Daddy. Afterwards we headed to Lakeshore Learning to do a craft and then over to Chick Fil A for some nuggets and playtime.

Okay so after I finished posting I went out in the living room and Jordan was crashed on the couch. I had to update my post because Jordan has never fallen asleep on the couch before. She was wiped out.

McDonalds

Yesterday we spent a few hours playing and eating at McDonalds. We met Marissa and Larissa and Kim, Lexy and Ben up there. The girls enjoyed playing with their friends. That night Shelley came over with Shane, Sasha and Jacob and Bill cooked us all a nice dinner.
